Hej! I packed up my things the day after college graduation and headed to Skovde, Sweden to play semi-professional softball for four months. I decided to pursue this dream and try out coaching and playing in a foreign country. I hope you enjoy!

Something Swedish #1
I decided to start a series of posts called "Something Swedish" that show off various things I find interesting in Sweden.
This picture shows the sidewalk. Sweden is very bike-friendly, and so the sidewalk is divided for cyclists and pedestrians. Similarly, there are two buttons for crossing streets, one specifically for cyclists. Many times I've been walking and heard the 'ding' of a bike and had to move to my side. I've also been learning bike etiquette since I've been biking to the gym. I think it's pretty great that bicycling is so strongly encouraged. It is also amazing to me that people just leave their bikes around without locking them. I still lock up mine, but I guess that's the Bostonian in me. :)
