Yesterday, I got to check out the Skovde Food Festival, called the Matfestivalen. It takes places every year at the end of August. For two days, the whole city center is taken over and it turns into one large food court. There were fair rides in one section of the town, and there are different live band performances. I read that there are about 40,000 visitors and more than 80,000 portions of food are consumed. Diane and I didn't stay long but we walked around to soak in the atmosphere. There were so many people especially because it was around dinner time. Pretty cool!
Last night after the Food Festival, Nathalie had the team over to her new apartment, (it was
beautiful!), for a party to celebrate winning the tournament. We all wore
our medals, and it was a really fun night. We played games, chatted,
danced, and just had a good time.
